PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION
Machinists set up and perform various machining processes for executing jobs to GK quality standards while reaching delivery date goals and abiding by all safety requirements as prioritized by the department supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Locate and load programs for each job
Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
Sets-up mills and lathe by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, and chuck jaws, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming in heads. Setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs Monitor and control feeds and speeds
Select tools and materials for each job Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to company standards
Operates manual machine tools as necessary to performs secondary operations to complete the process in its entirety
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS
Language: This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak English in order to communicate with customers and within GK Machine
Mathematics: Basic math skills are required
Computer: Literacy with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: High School diploma or GED from an accredited school system or program.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
